🔥 The contest formerly known as the Gong Show! 🔥

Do you have a talent that doesn’t fit anywhere else? A funny idea no one has ever done before? We’re looking for offbeat comedy that can commit to the bit: it doesn’t have to be good, but it ought to be cursed. Compete for the infamous Worst in Show award! Top Three win cash, everyone gets a participation trophy!

FAQ:

What happened to the Gong Show?
We rebranded! Instead of a panel of "insulting" contest judges, you'll be faced with Talent Coach judges who give you "helpful suggestions" live on stage — all for the crowd's entertainment, of course. We encourage you to play along with us & have fun!!
Does my act require music?
Yes and no. Your talent is not required to be music-based, such as singing or dancing. But we require you to submit some kind of music, whether that's a music file on USB, or a YouTube link, or a live flute performance. Would you really want to perform in total silence?
What length can my act be?
Minimum length: 1 minute. Maximum length... unlimited? If it's so long that it's annoying then we'll just stop you??
What if my act is just singing karaoke in a silly voice?
No, sorry. People do that during Open Mic hours all the time! You're welcome to sing, but add a little spice to that idea. Do something unexpected, outrageous, or unique.
Can I bring props or costumes?
Ohh, yes. We love that!

About Your Act

Your act does not need to be perfectly planned! It does not need to be high-concept! We love it when people show up prepared — but don't be discouraged if all you've got is a weird talent and the courage to get on stage.

If your act isn't wowing the crowd, our judges may give you "helpful suggestions" to help your act "shine" for the audience. This is all part of the show! We encourage you to play along with us & have fun.

And don't forget the audience you're playing to: a bunch of anime fans who want to be entertained on the last night of Fanime!
