Thank you for your interest in participating in the 2024 Style Showcase! This is a two-part event that consists of 1) a runway show for all J-Fashion enthusiasts to show off their personal style, and 2) a contest for participants to show their handmade clothing and accessories.

J-Fashion Style Showcase
Anyone who wishes to participate in the Style Showcase must register in advance. Participants will be organized into walking order, and we will take group photos afterwards.
All coordinates must be recognizable as J-Fashion (including, but not limited to styles such as lolita fashion, EGA, ouji, mori-kei, decora, fairy-kei, gyaru, menhera, or wafuku).
Please note that all Style Showcase participants have a mandatory 7:30 pm call-time on Saturday.
- You MUST have a FanimeCon 2024 badge to participate.
- You must be wearing a coordinate that is recognizably J-Fashion.
- You will be wearing your own J-Fashion outfit. No parts of your outfit will be provided by FanimeCon.
The Atelier: Handmade Coordinate Contest
The Atelier is the contest portion of the event where competitors can show off J-Fashion outfits of their own creation for the chance to win prizes.
Participants will be asked to showcase their handmade coordinates on the runway and to explain how each piece was created. Winners will be picked by a panel of industry judges and will receive prizes donated by participating J-Fashion brands.
Please note that all participants of The Atelier must attend a mandatory 7:00 pm pre-judging meeting on Saturday.
- You MUST have a FanimeCon 2024 badge to participate.
- All submissions must be of the contest participant’s own design and creation, and must be recognizable as J-Fashion.
- Submitted coordinates should be predominantly made by the contest participant.
- While fandom-inspired J-Fashion coordinates are eligible to participate, direct cosplays (outfits that are intended to accurately replicate a character's look) are not allowed.
- Participants may choose to either model the coordinate themselves or showcase their submission on an accompanying model.
- If a contest participant chooses to show their submission on a model, they must supply the models themselves. The J-Fashion Department does not provide models for the contest.
- Participants may choose to present any number of full coordinates on as many models as they like, but may only submit one complete coordinate for contest consideration.
- Participants will be asked to showcase their submitted coordinates to a panel of industry judges before the start of the show and to explain how each piece was created.
- Contest entries will be judged on criteria such as craftsmanship, creativity, and skill level.
- Winners will receive prizes donated by participating J-Fashion brands.
- All convention attendees are eligible to participate in The Atelier, with the exception of
- J-Fashion Department Staff
- Fashion Show Designers
- J-Fashion Market Vendors
- Industry/press members
