Publications IT Technician

Publications is looking for an internal IT technician responsible for all IT related work and maintenance within our sub departments (Signage, EB Production, & Print). The Pubs IT Technician will be working closely with a Publications Co-Head to manage the IT workflow and resolve issues with minimal supervision.

DUTIES:
- Setup printers, internet, and other technical equipment at off-site and at-con office.
- Performs maintenance on equipment (printers, internet, etc).
- IT troubleshooting
- General Pubs staff duties.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Familiar with Mac OS, networking, HP plotters, HP printers, HP drivers, & Adobe software.
- 24+ hours of staffing are required, some of which can be done during Pre-Con shifts.
- Pre-Con shifts at an office on scheduled weekend days monthly, starting in January.
- At-Con shifts require sign-up in advance and begin on Wednesday (Day -1).
- Mandatory Wednesday (Day -1), Thursday (Day 0), & Monday (Day 4) At-Con shifts.
- Be able to assist with lifting and moving equipment at the office.

IDEAL QUALITIES:
- Background in mechanical and/or electrical engineering.
- Be able to repair HP plotters & printers.
